I feel like it's raining veggies already!
Yesterday's harvest went by Hubby over to my Dad's
this morning for my Step-Mom Jeanette to deal with :)
Except that is, for the peppers inside these jars! I got a jar
each of Sweet Banana & Anaheim Mixed, Cayenne and Jalapeno
I gathered and washed this bounty, THIS MORNING!
I told you it was raining Veggies.................
I will make more Pepper Sauce, cut up Bell Pepper and
stick in freezer. I will slice the Cukes and put in Vinegar,
Salt and Olive Oil in Fridge....should be wonderful when
we return.......I'm cooking all the Squash, we'll eat some
for supper and the rest will go in the freezer!
What's left of my WONDERFUL Blackberries will be put
in small bags for the freezer............
The animal kids have to be taken to the kennel late afternoon
and the rest of the packing has to be done!!!! I gotta get going!!
Do you remember that I had to go to the UPS Store on Monday
to mail a package I fixed up for a friend/girl? You know the one
where Jake panicked and ...you know! Well, she got it yesterday!!
Click here and read all about it................ I'll see you all back here next week.............
What a mess of veggies. Your garden is producing so well. Mine is lagging now. Tell me what you did to the peppers. Is this used for the turnip or collard greens. I am needing to make some sauce for the greens.
Have a wonderful trip.
What lovely green gems. I'm drooling. I can't wait until our garden is producing. It has still been pretty cool here at night and things just aren't growing very fast. I hope we get some warmer temps to make things grow!
Lovely harvest out in your neck of the woods. I just plopped my seeds in the ground as our soil temperatures are still cool.
My goodness, those veggies look familiar!! ;-)
I wish I was your neighbor, Carol, maybe you'd share some of your bounty. Everything looks wonderful!
Have a great trip!
Cucumber sandwiches! Tziki sauce! Zucchini bread! And, if those blackberries were mine they would never make it to the freezer.
Wow! I am so impressed. And so missing my garden this year.
I love making pepper quiche with our duck eggs.
What a bounty of veggies already ...
I simply love cucumbers in cider vinegar, kept in the fridge, some with sliced onions, some without.
A wonderful harvest, Carol. Looking at it makes me hungry LOL
WOW! Looks like a lovely spread! Have a great trip! Be careful. . . and when you get back, let's fry some green tomatoes!
You go girl! WOW! I am inspired :).
I want a garden. Sob.
Those are some beauties!
Hi Carol, Oh--how I would love to eat all of those veggies... YUM!!!!! (Maybe I'll sneak down there when you are gone --and take a few!!!! ha ha)
Have a wonderful trip. Can't wait to see pictures of your and your three kids, and of course the grandkids.
What pretty vegetables! Seems like there's always lots to share in the summer.
Have fun on your vacation! Who's minding the veggie tales while you're gone?
Wow, that looks great!
Wow. Looks so yummy. I would even say it looks vegietastic.
Well, as a vegetarian, I must say "OMG I envy you!!!"
Such beautiful vegies!
Hope you are having a great trip!
Ooh I just love veggies, home grown especially. I shall also have to take doggos to the kennel next week. Dread the moment! Have a lovely weekend. Will be around before I leave to see how it all went.
Oh...lucky YOU! it's simply raining here; raining and raining and raining. A real frog strangler!
BTW, I adore greens and eat them all the time so appreciate that great green cook book. Thanks!
In addition to having the writer's touch, you definitely have a green thumb. That little garden is going to keep you busy, isn't it? Have a great weekend.
Your bounty looks like mine! DH comes in all beaming smiles and I try and push more into the freezer with the same smile. Seriously, it is good to have so much good food on our table.
WOW! Your harvest is so plentiful already! My poor veeggies are getting drowned i ain that we have been having all week --my tomatoes are crying out for sun.
Have a good weekend!
Oh, I want some of those veggies and blackberries - our blackberries are out yet, just the blooms...
*waving at you*
isn't growing your own veggies THE BEST!?! we are growing ours for the first time this summer...lovin it.
we are eating snap peas and lettuce this week. yummmm*mmmmyyy.
have a wonderful weekend.
Would love to see your recipe for pepper sauce - you've certainly been busy - what a harvest !
A sea of veggies! That's where my grandma and I belong! She's the kind of person who would eat a salad with every meal... And I'm following her!
Cool blog! Check out mine:
I can't believe you have all this bounty already. Everything here is still in its infancy, although strawberries are beginning to turn. Beautiful pictures.
Wow you certainly do have a bounty to put away.
I found a new Southern author to read. I'm sure she's no Harper Lee, but I'm in the mood for something light. I'll let you know what I think of Mary Kay Andrews
I feel so lucky. Our city just started a backyard farmer's market for all the gardener's to sell their overflow!! Early every Saturday morning Edward and Apple join the Songwriter and me for a walk to the city center where we load up on local vegetables, fruits, honey, breads and flowers. Such a treat!! And then....don't tell anyone...we trundle home and go back to bed!!! It is Saturday, after all!
