" I'm Feeling Better "

I just wanted to check in and say THANKS for all the well wishes and let all of you know I'm still ABOVE GROUND and feeling much better! I have really had a time with this Sinus/ Bronchial infection. I did finally get the Christmas Decorations down, packed and put away yesterday. What a job !! I spent the evening with a heating pad on my lower back and had to take a pain pill at bedtime but it's done. I wasn't nearly as chipper as the women above while doing it either!! HA!
I'm not going to try to post this week but I will try to visit all of you. I'm pretty weak but I'll do as much as I can. I am taking Vitamin C, drinking lots of fluids especially Apple Cider and getting more rest than I want. It is frigid cold here and we are supposed to get Snow again on Thursday! I know all of you are having horrible frigid temps too! STAY WARM ! XOXO

Woohoo! I'm so very happy you are feelin' better. Take care and stay cozy warm. As Mama used to say, "we don't want ya to have a back-set!"

Ten below yesterday morning, a heat wave struck this morn' with a whoppin' seven. I'm out to do chores and prepare for the snowstorm this evening and then our temps drop.

TEMPERATURES DROP!!! We live in southern Missouri not the Arctic. They are predicting -12 to -20 Thurs-Sunday! Lord knows I'm not a snowbunny!

God bless you my friend and stay on the mend!

Good to hear you are doing much better. After looking at the image of this energetic lady using the vacuum, I was wishing I had her energy!!
Many years ago, I did.

You just can't keep a good man (lady) down ;)
Stay inside and enjoy this book-reading time, because before we know it, we'll have our fingers in the dirt once more.....
Look after yourself my friend !

Glad to hear you are doing better.

Take it easy - you don't need a set back due to over doing things.

Hi Carol: So glad that you are feeling better! Taking down Christmas decorations is not fun at all, so I can't imagine being sick on top of it. Take it easy and rest! Have a great week!

Take care of yourself. Give yourself lots of time to really get back on your feet. It's the perfect time of year for curling up with a good book and some hot apple cider.

Wonderful to hear you are feeling better. But it sounds like you are doing too much. How about if you lay around this week, read, rest, and take extra good care of yourself. You can work when you are well. Take it easy!

I am glad you are better now! I didn't know, as I was ill myself and only answered comments. I didn't celebrate Christmas, had no tree and sent no cards.

I wish you a great 2010!

Glad you are doing better Carol, but I have to ask, "WHO looks that chipper when cleaning?" Certainly not me!

I'm glad you're better! Take it a little slower the next few days...I know it takes some time to recover from respiratory things. That Vitamin C is good stuff. :)

Hi Carol, I've been wondering about you. Glad you are feeling better--but you do need more days of rest. Besides-- you are a high-energy gal, and sometimes, things like this happen JUST to slow you down a little. Take care of YOU, and stay warm during all of this cold weather.
Hugs,
Betsy

I am happy to hear that you are on the mend...I am sorry that I did not know you were ill, as I would have sent some "chicken soup" (smile)
Been a while since I have come to your place, but it is always as comfortable as the last visit...
Since the holidays have dissolved into the last calendar, hopefully I can be a regular visitor..
I plan to add to the "Story" blog and the "Poetry Blog", also the "Myriad of Thoughts" blog..
I just set up another called "Diet is a four-lettered word"...Come by when time allows...Hugs, Margaret..

I am so glad to hear you are feeling better, as is Husband and I.

We had snow and now unbelievable cold and today frozen pipes, subject of today's blog.

I was too busy consoling myself over Texas loss to Alabama,to remember to crack the faucets. Husband was working a complicated jigsaw puzzle. Shame on us.

Wasn't surprised Alabama won, but Texas lost their senior star quarterback on the first series. And his value in the NFL draft may be compromised as it was a throwing shoulder injury; his entire arm was still numb at end of game

I am glad to hear you are on the mend! I take 1000 mg of Vit C a day and have not been sick this year. I wonder if it is the C?

The book was an easy, insightful read. Thank you for sending it. It was a good reminder that many women have been where I now am! There is a comfort and sadness in that.

Hope ou just feel better and better!

Yes, I think we're all trying to stay warm. We are having records temps. 17 tonight. The Yankees are laughing at that, but whoa baby. Trying to keep the pipes safe.

Get well more!

Carol,
I'm glad you're feeling better. We are getting frigid temps here, too. Last week we got a snow and it's still on the ground. They are predicting warmer weather this week and I'm looking forward to that. I sure hope you get over that sinus infection soon. Have a wonderful week and stay warm.

Glad to hear you're feeling better. Carol , have you ever tried a neti pot/salt water solution for your sinus problems. It's worked well for me , although I just use a old timey creamer with a spout and a 1/2 tsp of sea salt to 1 cup of warm water , nothing fancy , but it works well. I use it when I feel stuffy , have sinus pressure or have a runny nose. It works wonderfully !!
