" Remembering "

Most of you know, I'm still a newlywed. Two Years Today! I'm not exaggerating when I tell you they have been the two best years of my life! My husband Eric is a jewel! I could not have looked the world over and found a better husband. He was my very first love and though life took us down different roads for over three decades, it also brought us back around to each other.
For this I am forever grateful to God! After four years of dating, we got married on December 14, 2007..............

The wedding took place in Townsend, Tennessee in the Great Smoky Mountains at Gaelsong Cabin where we spent ten days honeymooning.............

The bride is ready........

The Groom is ready............

Let's get this show on the road Pastor.............

She said; " I Do ------- He said " I Do "..............

The Pastor said; " I now pronounce you Man & Wife"........

Hubby creates laughter when he says; " It only took me 40 years to get her "

A sweet setting..........It was a private ceremony with just the children......

The cake was small but delish!

It had been a long time since I'd been fed by someone.......... :)

Is this the right way; he says..............

And the word says; " What God hath joined together " ............

It was a truly happy day! A wonderful start to a real love story..........

Street clothes on and the couple relaxes.......

I can only hope and pray we live to enjoy a long happy marriage..............
Have A Great Week Everyone!!

How wonderful that you two eventually got together and what a lovely way you presented the story Carol. Happy anniversary to you and Eric and may it last forever!

Happy Anniversary Carol, and many, many more.

My husband and I were pursuing separate careers and our 15 yr. courtship was often separated by expanses of land and sea.

Then he was a day late for our wedding--not very funny at the time but now is.

I have a blog started on it, but it has to be written with consideration for his feelings so I haven't honed it well enough to post.

Oh, what a beautiful love story, Carol! I'm so happy for you and Eric. (Bill and I found each other late in life, too. We'll celebrate our 10th wedding anniversary on January 1, and it has been the best 10 years of my life.)

Carol and Eric,
Just came across this obviously several years after your wedding but wanted to let you know that as the owners of Gaelsong we are thrilled to see such a great use of our cabin and the beautiful settings in Townsend. We hope you still have your newlywed outlook...
