Hope you had a wonderful day though you couldn't miss with that beautiful table and such a menu. Martha Stewart would be envious.
Now to recover in time for Christmas.

Yum, yum. A very good menu and lovely table setting. Husband I were out of town and ate at a cafeteria. Truthfully, I enjoyed the no cleaning house, no cooking, no washing dishes for a change. Food was decent and I chose baked leg and thigh of chicken. The turkey was not appealing. Husband had ham. I had spinache due to a need for iron and husband ate his favorite sweet potatoes.

And I forfeited Black Friday shopping in Little Rock for a trip HOME. My group of friends are also foregoing the usual Christmas gift exchange and eating forays to give to those less fortunate. We've already chosen certain projects and have one or two more. We are picking our own gift to each other by agreement. For some reason I am very at peace with these decisions. Usually I like the hustle and bustle. Guess it is age.

I hope your celebration was worthy of its environment and all the love that went into the preparation.
