" OOPS " Wrong Dog!

I sure hope today goes better than yesterday did! It was an OOPS day for sure! :)

" Ms. Murdock? Yes, Your baby is ready to be picked up! Great! Be right there!"
I'm so excited to pick up sweet Roxie and bring her home! Can't wait for the Peek gang to meet her!

Meet Marla, Roxie's sister who was spayed, vaccinated and micro chipped by mistake!
Before you start saying; "ahwwww...I would have just took her instead, it's ment to be,"
let me tell you about Monday. When I went in to drop the linens off I was told; you might want to browse pen 20, it has two Border Collies in it! So I walk fast! As I approach the pen, Roxie starts barking, jumping and gets so excited! Marla goes to the back of the pen and huddles down.
I bent down in front of the pen and put my hand against the wire. Roxie starts licking it like a starved dog with a T-Bone! We fell in love ! So it was that scene in my mind that kept me from keeping Marla. I also played with Roxie again and she was so happy to see me! So now Roxie is getting the treatment and hopefully, she'll be coming here tomorrow!

This morning when I went to feed the "flock" they were more interested in my greeting than their breakfast!

And Bocephus was looking at me as if to say; WHY do you never bring me a treat?

These two calves were staring as if they were thinking the same thing! I tell you this is truly
" Ole Man Murdock's Farm" !! :)

Did you know that they now have Iris that bloom twice a year? I didn't, until I read about it on a blog! There are called REBLOOMERS ! I found them online at Springhill Nursery! I ordered 4 different varieties and they came yesterday..............This is ROCKSTAR !

This one is ENGLISH CHARM..........

This beauty is AMERICAN CLASSIC..........

This is MAGICAL ENCOUNTER............

This is a PAGODA PLANT! I saw this on Dirt Princess's blog, Trials and Tribulations of a Southern Gardner! I have 2 of these arriving today!

Also arriving soon are 3 of these LADY BALTIMORE RED HARDY HIBISCUS.....
Getting ready to get my courtyard plants laid out..........

Hubby is about to begin work on my greenhouse and I'm real excited about that!
HOPE YOU ALL ARE HAVING A GREAT WEEK !!!

Ah, you sure you want to break up a family? Two would provide balance.
Marla would probably not work cows but aww gee, such a sweet face.
Yeah I know, we can't take them all.
Sorry you were delayed in getting Roxie. Can't wait for pictures.

Hey Cutie, It's not just Ole Man Murdock's Farm, it's also ole Woman Murdock's Farm. You are an important ingredient in all of that hard work.

We love our reblooming Irises... Hope you enjoy yours. It's so neat to see an Iris bloom also in the Fall.

Wish you could take both of those collies. They are both so adorable. But--I can understand why you want Roxie.

Have a great day.
Hugs,
Betsy

Oh, take both of them, it's not like you're living in a cramped apartment in the city! ;-)))

Those iris' are to die for, especially that English Charm. We still haven't planted iris' but plan to do so next season.

The iris's are so beautiful...I might have to order some for myself!

Marla is gorgeous..and so is Roxie...2 beautiful dogs! It's too bad that you can't adopt both of them, but Marla will surely get a home quick...she is adorable.

Thanks for sharing your world with us today. :)

I've heard of mixups at the hospital nursery, but never at the animal shelter.

When we were informed Luckie had heartworms, after her spay surgery, we nearly sent her back to sure euthanasia.

Thanks to a persistent vet, who actually absorbed part of the treatment, because he knew she was a wonderful little dog down on her luck with a chance at a doting forever home. But no MIXUP....

I can' say what I would have done....But I know Roxie has a great home!

I'm so excited that Roxie will be joining you soon. You have such a huge farm of animals - lucky, lucky you!

Beautiful flowers. Reminds me wistfully of summer...

I think you were wise to go with your first choice of dogs - sounds like you bonded on first sight and that is important - you'll be together a long time. Marla will find a good home eventually and now she's all ready to go.

You've really got your hands full! Border Collies are one of my favorite breeds and Roxie is so adorable. I don't know how you keep up with it all! Can't wait to see the greenhouse.

You have cows? I did not know this! Are you raising them to eat, or just to look at their cuteness? :-)

Love Border Collies. How many dogs do you have now girl? Your chicks should be safe with all of that protection.

OMG! Those iris's are to die for. And they bloom twice. Amazing. I've got the red hibiscus in my yard. But no irises. The puppy is adorable.

Bet you can't wait to get Roxie, and just think what a team you'd have with both of them.

I have to get some of those irises as well.

You're going to have a greenhouse? Wow, that should keep you busy all winter. Not that you get much of a winter.

Later....xoxo

Marla sure is a sweet heart! I know you were only looking for one but she will be so lonely without her sister. It is wonderful that you are adopting Roxie! She sounds like a fun and loving dog. Bet her sister was just scared.

Hope you get her tomorrow!
