" 2 Busy Bees "

We've been busy as 2 bees.........

.....This week building our entertainment center. Here is a view of our progress. This is an indention in the east wall of the living room. It's there because to each side of it there is a closet. The one on the left is the guest bedroom closet and the one on the right is the closet that contains the heat and air unit. So a vent less gas fireplace was placed there. It no longer works. When I moved here and started changing things, this was one thing that stayed on my mind to change...........

So after completing all the outside projects, we took this one on this week! YES ,I do help, I just give Hubby all the credit! HA!

So Monday morning we started with this.........

Finished with this. We took Tuesday off as Hubby had to make the 180 mile RT to the VA in Jackson and I had errands to run........

This is Wednesday's progress...........

At the end of the day Thursday, Hubby is caulking. There are 2 shelves at the top. Of course the big hole is where the TV goes. 3 of the center shelves are for the "boxes" and the top center hole will be a drawer for remotes and batteries.

There will be two doors on either side of center shelves. It will all be painted white. We should get it finished today except for the painting! YEAH! :)

These are the books added to the TBR stack this week, from Amazon, authors and publishers!

HAVE A GREAT WEEKEND EVERYONE!!! :)

Looking good!

Wow! that was fast work by both of you. A project like that would take us weeks. Of course, neither one of us has any woodworking skills to speak of.

You are blessed with that handy hubby! Your new entertainment centre is going to give you lots of pleasure. And that stack of books arrived from Amazon. Amazon has a wonderfully efficient international mailing system but the shippage costs are exorbitant. Usually well over the price of the book. A pity!

Beautiful work! Hope y'all take a break long enough for the hubs to get some rest and you to get caught up on your reading stack. :)

That is really looking great. I know you will enjoy it.

Now, about the TBR stack...it's really getting long, isn't it? As the very wise man said, "So many books. So little time."

Have a great weekend.

You are so luck to have a man who loves to build things for (and with) you. My husband hates projects, but he loves to have fun. I guess I can't have everything.

I cannot believe how quickly this project has progressed! You will certainly deserve a little break to make use of your entertainment center once it is completed. Amazing. And your resident handyman doesn't seem to be any the worse for wear!

Half Broke Horses was added to my TBR pile this week, but I am finishing up The Truest Pleasure first. Soooo many books, so little time!

You and your hubby sure keep the projects going, but what you are doing now is outstanding! I can't believe how fast you move along too ... whew! I can hard wait to see it when you're finished.

I understand about the "yes, I do help" part. I am the picture taker though.
The entertainment center looks great!

You have a great weekend, also.

That nook has been modernized and transformed into a picture perfect entertainment center. Can't wait to see it finished.

I see you have Jeanette Wells new book, Half Broke Horses, I read the first chapter last night. I can't praise the beginning enough. Talk about riveting!
