" Backslider"

It seems I have been banned from commenting on several blogs!! Just kidding! I can't figure out the problem but there are quite a few blogs that will not cooperate with letting me leave a comment. I "think" it is blogs with the embedded comment setting. I can write the comment in the box but it won't post it. If it is full page or pop up window, it works. I e-mailed some of them with my comment and had them post it. Am I the only one having this problem? I tried to make the rounds yesterday, so if you didn't see me, that's why!!

I was really sad.....
I had a feeling Sunday morning that Miss Trixie GoLay had BACKSLID !!!
What with her pecking at Queen Vicki and acting all grumpy, I just knew something was up!

AN EGG ON SUNDAY! She has now laid 8 days straight!

This morning on the porch we were blessed with a breath taking view!

A dream scape for an artist............

Although in my opinion, Nature cannot be beat for art!

We sat with our coffee in the cool morning air and just marveled.........

I wouldn't miss this show for anything.............

Yesterday......Hubby got a new toy! I had to put my foot down when he ran out of yard and looked longingly toward the pasture! HA!

HAVE A GREAT DAY EVERYONE AND I'M GOING TO TRY AND VISIT YOU !! :)

I had that same problems for several months on some blogs, and as quickly as the problem showed up, it vanished and I have no clue as to the reason.

Love your morning pictures, especially of the pond and the eerie fog rising up from it.

Good Morning Carol... I also have trouble posting sometimes--and I DESPISE those embedded comments on blogs. First of all, I'm in a hurry when blogging (like most of us)--and have to scroll all the way down to the bottom to even find where to post.

Then, after I post, it will go back to the top and then back to the bottom and THEN make me put in a word verification. Then (instead of hitting the enter button), I HAVE to put the mouse on the PUBLISH button and then WAIT while it goes back to the top of the page and then back down. Crazy!!!!

Sometimes that doesn't work--and I have to do it all again. It truly takes me a MUCH longer time to post comments on those blogs. WHY don't people change that option??? I think (for some unknown reason) that Blogger's default is THAT option and maybe some people don't know what to do to change it. Why don't you give specific instructions to everyone to get them to change?????

Sorry I got so riled up!!!! ha.... Hope we can get people to change!!!

Your sky pictures are gorgeous.

Are you going to try out that tractor????
Hugs,
Betsy
P.S. Hope you are still feeling better.

Your mornings look lovely! So does that fresh egg from Miss Trixie GoLay!
Sometimes when I comment, if I just retry (not an option on all blogs) it finally goes through. I am still wondering what happened to my labels in GMAIL!

Lovely skies! Like a layered parfait.

Several blogs have been giving me trouble with posting lately--and now that so many have mentioned it, I beleive it is the "embedded" comment feature.
Things are so great when they work.

You really do lead a charmed and blessed life, don't you? Beautiful pictures, as usual.

This is my first visit to your blog. I thoughly enjoyed your writing and pictures. I love the South too! I'm from Alabama, so I can relate to so much of what you write and show.

Hmm, sometimes it just all goes away by itself....
That little hen is a busy girl, isn't she ?
Are you eating the eggs everyday ?
Lovely skies, and the mist rising off the pond incredible !
That's a fine looking mower, he'll still have a month or so of mowing, and then have to retire it to the barn, until next season.
At least it doesn't eat anything ;)

I have that same problem on and off too. It is aggravating.
Love the morning mist pictures. I know what you mean about nature shows! I wouldn't miss them for anything either.

Love your hubby's new toy. At least it will be a productive toy!

Have a great day.

Ah, Trixie may want to consult with a union rep. You have her working a full week with no days off. Tisk, tisk. Bet you aren't even going to give her any vacation time.

Hi Carol!

Blogger can be cranky at times ..hopefully that problem will clear up for you soon!

Nice red tractor toy for your hubby! It will amke work fun!

I can't imagine why anyone would block you so that can't be the problem. I have run into those blogs where you have to do all those steps too. Guess people do it for protection of some sort.

Anyway I love your depiction of your life, the hen, the beautiful sunrise, and I have always thought I would have loved growing up on a farm. My only experience with farmlife was when we went to our cabin every August when growing up and we walked across the meadows to the neighboring farm for milk and eggs every night. We played in the barn and watched the big horses chuffing and eating their oats after a day of hard work in the field and heard the farm hands singing cowboy songs as they milked by hand. I will visit you often.

I am so very happy to hear that it's not just me having these problems! It makes it take twice as long to leave a comment as it should. Jeeze. Thanks for reading my short story Carol, I'm glad you liked it. I sure do wish I could get fresh eggs around here. I'm sure there's somewhere, but I haven't found out where, yet. Love the updates on the goings on at the farm.

Blogger has been acting weird lately...and so has Gmail! Wish they'd get all their problems ironed out.

Fresh eggs would be wonderful in the morning!

It happens now and then; here and there; for a while. I keep trying, and the system sometimes fixes itself. Love that hen!

You had a very nice post today. All the pictures of the mist are great. Happy you paid me a visit today.

Perhaps we should lay hands on your computer. Sometimes it won't let you comment on some blogs because you have blocked your third party cookies. I know this because my paranoid son and geek has their security so high that my DIL cannot comment on some blogs. It is frustrating to say the least.

Have a great day and God bless!!!

Deb Shucka said...

Great pictures, as always.

I think Nezzy has it right. Check your cookies, Carol. Or might have something to do with Blogger. They've been known to have a few glitches, too. Loved your misty pics and Miss Trixie backsliding. ha!

Thanks for all of your visits and kind comments. I'm glad that you can still comment on my blog.

Oh Carol, when I saw that about Ms. Trixie Golay, I immediately thought of Trixie Goforth. I wanted to say, you know she's been backslid for years now! LOL

Those pictures of the lake are AMAZING!

I love that new toy your husband has. If he needs to store it, I've got room in the garage. I'll drive at least once a week to keep it going!

I think Blogger gets crotchety sometimes.

Your morning views are lovely. Watching the fog drift away as the day awakens is a nice way to begin the morning.

Fortunately you could reach my blog! Come to think of it: I sometimes have this problem to and then do the same as you do: I send an e-mail.
Your chickens are doing fine!
Thanks for your lovely post, for your visit and nice comment!

I was walking out of the hospital yesterday morning about 6:15am and noticed how beautiful the sky looked. I wanted to take a picture but I was just too tired. So happy to see these that you took. And I agree...it was quite a show!

Been having the very same problem with Blogger for the past few days and can't figure out what the heck is wrong. You're probably right about embedded comments as I can leave comments on others with no problems.

Love your photos.

Yeah for SUPERHEN! How wonderful to have REALLY fresh eggs!

I think the blogger problems are widespread and hopefully will resolve soon.
