" A New Addition"

If you remember, on Wednesday I posted this picture of
Doublewide ( Big Dub) and told you that any day she was
to give birth. Well, any day was yesterday.

Welcome to the farm world Little Dub..........
He is trying to stand for the very first time!

And.....on shaky ground and a little wobbly......
He makes it!

Good job........Big Dub!
She is always a good mother........

Now let me see.............
How is this done? How am I supposed to get this milk?
The last addition comes to greet the one who has taken her position!
She is a month old and Little Dub is the exact same size!
They look like twins................
New friends.............never enough of them!

The rest of the Brangus Gang want to get a look too!
One more mouth to share food with they say!
Life on the farm is never dull.............
Always something going on!

I haven't visited with you since Wed. and it seems I've missed out on a lot, a tour, an award and a birth. It's been busy on the farm!

Carol - You just don't know how much my husband and I love cows and cattle. This made our day! Thanks for being right on the spot with the camera.
Is this Little Dub? or LD? (also Low Down - to the ground.)

How precious to be able to witness the miracle of life coming to its own feet.
On my walk yesterday I saw a mother and her calf walking in a "soon to be green" pasture and I thought it lovely...but this, this beats it all. Thank you.

Stevie...it is always busy! There really should be at least 36 hours in a day on a farm........

Kat...Hubby is by his cattle like I am by my books! He knew she was close so he kept an eye out with his binoculars and told me let's go! So I grabbed the camera and we jumped on the 4 wheeler! I wouldn't
trade this for anything, as it is the first time I got pictures...
Oh...I like the LD short for Lowdown! Kat, You have named a Swiftwater Farm calf!

Caroyn...you are so welcome, thanks for coming by to see it!

Isabel....Thank you for stopping by to witness the miracle!

What a wonderful sight to witness -- the spring time ritual of rebirth. Little Dub is a handsome bull.

As a city girl things like this are so fascinating and exotic to me so i really enjoyed this post!
