" Larry, Moe and Curly "

WOW ! What a day! Swiftwater Farm had three new
additions yesterday, Larry, Moe and Curly!
This is a picture of Mom Sadie and her boys I took
this morning at "breakfast"!

Larry was first and was breach, which cause a little excitement!

Moe however just popped right out !

Sadie however decided a 4 hour break was in order before
allowing little Curly to enter the world! He has a tiny hair lip
on the top left side! :( The Vet said it may fill out!

He is a Jake mini-me !!

After the three boys got here Mom was a picture of exhaustion!

They started nursing right away! YEAH!

Then took a nap under Mom's chin!

I snapped this while Mom partook of a much needed meal

This one also...............

Mommy's back on guard! Jake just has to look and she
starts growling ! Poor Daddy Jake has lost his buddy!

Show off your babies Sadie Boo !

At 10:30 PM Sadie had a stillborn girl. It appeared to have
had a deformity where the brain formed outside the skull!
I had a good cry and vowed , NO more pups! They will both
get surgery in due time!
I'll be canning and freezing veggies all day, what I had planned
yesterday before I had to play doctor. Of course I'll be taking
frequent Peeks at the Peeks ! :D

Holy puppies !! too, too sweet. Are you keeping tout la Gang. Wink. What a crew.

And I agree with B. Shamu - you are gonna LOVE, love that chili sauce - the absolute best condiment I've ever had/made. Can't wait to hear how it turns out !

Once again congratulations, Carol. How wonderful to have brought these puppies into the world! You must have been very tired. Thanks for sharing this event with us.

Awww, too precious for words, Carol! And Sadie has an expression of relief! Glad they are nursing and doing great, and will have good homes. Sad about the little girl, but it wasn't meant to be.

Enjoy your adorable new furry grands!

Huggies and cool breezes!

You're a good dog mama, Biscuit!

They all look very sweet and content. Mama is a good one, your lucky....once I had a mama dog to try and bury her newborn pups, and another Yorkie of mine took them on and raised them together with her own six. She had twelve pups nursing on her.
I miss having puppies around, do you plan on keeping them all ?

Larry, Moe, Curly and Mom Sadie are just beautiful!
So sorry about the baby girl.

I should be canning and freezing green beans right this minute. This heat and humidity are making it all a tad hard on picking it though.

Good luck the new family and on the canning/freezing.
Have a great day.
Pam

Oh how sad to lose one like that... it breaks my heart but thank the Lord the others look great. Have fun!

Carol Murdock said...

Pam....thank you so much!

Vicki....I thought you'd like the three stooges theme! Curly has a little curled up mouth so we had to think of something to go with that!We first said Elvis, but we like the stooges so they won.
Of course they'll get new names at their new homes!

Congrats to all. Sooooo cute! What a great experience. I've only ever helped cats (who need no help) and cows (who often need big help). Sorry about the girl - that must have been hard for both mom and midwife.

Oh Carol, How emotional that entire day/evening must have been for you... Sorry about the girl--but it looks like three healthy boys. Congrats to Sadie... Hope Daddy can see his sons soon!!!!

Get some sleep tonight.

It's a bit challenging, playing vet! Many years ago our Dalmation had eleven pups & they came so fast I had to break the sacs & get them breathing[stroking their little tummies]. They all survived!

I remember when our dog had puppies - 8 of them. Such excitement. I had forgotten how they looked. And how exhausted the poor momdog gets. Hope she gets some good sleep. You, too.
