awesome prints by artist Charles L. ( Chick ) Peterson. He is
from Door County, Wisconsin. I did not buy the prints, but I
did purchase a set of 5x7 cards with blank insides. The painting
on the front was titled " Family Reunion" which you will see further
down. As most of you know, I love "ghostly" things. His paintings
are wonderful depictions of past and present.............

Those are magnificent! Especially love the lemonade one, and Auction Day made me sad.
I have been to Door County many times, since I grew up not too far from there, but never heard of this painter.
The images are really touching. My favorites are the fishing one, bedtime and Auction Day, which made me sad too.
It's hard to say which ones I like most - maybe the two first ones? He has enormous skills!!!

He was a master at his art. The cards are all wonderful in their clarity and then like a gauze over the paintings, the ghostly visitors return. Some happy, some sad; memories.

I don't think I could have one on my wall. Don't get me wrong...they are wonderfully done, but too much of a reminder of days gone by that one can never recapture.

My son-in-law has a painting of a hunter with the ghost of his soldier brother, kneeling beside him, I'm wondering now, if this is the same artist.

These are so interesting... ghosts of what once took place on the scene, as well as what's taking place now. I could get all new age on you and say it looks like parallel universes happening at once in the same spot. Never seen anything like this before.
I grew up in the midwest. We went to Door County several times in the summer, renting a little cabin and fishing. Don't have tons of fun family memories, mostly because I was born so far after my siblings, but those are wonderful. I discovered my first hot fudge sundae there and had one every day thereafter when visiting there.
