I couldn't decide whether to take one or two by each author?
Some two, some one, you know, to get signed. These are going
in the book bag. It's gonna be heavy you think?
Got coffee and audio books and oh yes, a map!
Trunks full! See that heavy book bag? Hubby wants to know
if I plan to come back? You know us women, better too much
than not enough !!
OK, yes this is staged, as I'm obviously not gone yet! If
you see me going down to road, honk and wave!

Looks like you have all the essentials packed! Have a great trip and drive safely.
Come back with stories and pictures. And more books too.
Have a wonderful time!!! Looks like the weather is going to be perfect and with the rain we had this week the pollen count will be low and everything will be green. It will be so great to be around all that talent! I hope to make it myself next year.
Well, when I write this you are on your way! I think you have a heavy load of books! I always take a bag on wheels in such a situation. My rucksack on wheels is always heavier on my way back after a holiday. Have a lot of fun and take care! Hugs, Wil
Hope your trip is everything you hoped it would be and more. Have a safe trip. When you have a glass of wine think about us. I would love to be sitting there with you.
I must come to Natchez soon. Becca
Have a great tim!!
What a wonderful way to spend a spring weekend! Have a fabulous time!
Piles of heavy books, this is why hubby bought me a Kindle. You have yourself a fine time, lucky girl!
Sounds wonderful--hope you took an empty bag for all the new books you're going to pick up!
Well, you're well armed for the task ahead, Carol. Have a great time, you lucky ducky!
Huggies!

Oh, a road trip! I hope it's full of adventure and love and grand new insights.
Sounds like a great getaway. I'm with you when it comes to "better too much than not enough". Have fun!
Sounds like it is going to be a wonderful weekend. I always take very few clothes on a trip (I'm one mean packer) but I always take more books than I could ever manage to finish. I experience 'reader's anxiety' without a load of books.
Thanks for all the kind visits and comments. I love having you around!
Attention Followers!
You NEVER know when you might meet up with someone you follow!
Today-- I went to check up on some of our art we supply to the beautiful and historic Flat Rock Inn in Western Northg Carolina. Our studio is only 3 miles down the road.
On the Porch-- I met a Writer (pun intended) from the deep deep south. The Inn keeper introduced us and said to me, "She follows your blog!"
In person-- in the flesh I got to meet a writer I admire! WHAT A HOOT!!!! A GREAT DAY!!! More to follow!!! Have fun!!! Safe trip home!!
See you there! *smiling*! (and I see my Tender Graces peeking out of that stack - haw! laughing! yay!)
Hubby should be concerned! You've got enough reading material for a world-trip! Have a blast!

Wasn't this a great Book Fest? Wish I could have gone to every session.
Have a great trip...all your babies on the 'farm' will celebrate Mom's day without you?
Enjoy the day.
Have a wonderful time...this is me waving as you drive by! Enjoy your books! Love to you <3
Are you home yet? Jack and I had a love-in last night, and I'm up and ready to be creative this morning.
Did you have a good time? Tomorrow, I am off to tell stories in Brevard for some golden agers. Somewhere in here, I'm going to do a blog piece on Louise Bailey.
ooooh, i LOVE road trips. have fun!
Hi Carol, We were in Flat Rock on Mother's Day... Actually we passed through that gorgeous area. We went right by the Carl Sandburg home.
We had spent the night at Hendersonville and were heading to the Dupont Forest to see some waterfalls.
Small world, isn't it???? Hope you had a fabulous trip.
Hugs,
Betsy
