" Sunday Sunrise "

Before I tell you about my BUSY week, I want you to browse this AWESOME Sunrise we had this morning!!!!!!!

Wasn't this just incredible ???

I have really been swamped this past week! I'm getting e-mails asking what's up? Where are you? Are you alright? I'm fine, just got several irons in the fire lately! One thing that got almost completed, was that I got my Peacock Bookends so I could finish out my shelves!

I am THRILLED over these bookends. They are gorgeous! Very heavy! I got them from Amazon for $ 8.41 plus shipping which brought them to $ 12.46 !! The Collector Set of plates I got did not have a plate of "Melanie" by herself ,which I want. I found one on Ebay and I'm waiting for it. I will take one of these down and replace it with " Melanie"! :)

The biggest project I have going? As most of you know, Hubby and I are still "newlyweds ".
We have been slowly trying to redo the rooms in this house to "suit" me for the past 2 years.
We still like both bathrooms and what's behind this door...........

Behind this door.........is a formal dining room that has NEVER once been used even though we often have guest over to eat! Why?? Because it is full of stuff besides the furniture!

When I moved in here all of Hubby's deceased wife's things had to go somewhere so I could put my dishes, pans, small appliances and such in the kitchen cabinets. We had gotten the storage shed for my extra stuff but it was in such disarray after the kids unloaded the stuff in it, there was no room to walk! So all that stuff that was in the kitchen, is piled on the dining table and floors to be packed up and go in the store room that is in the garage. So the project has been that besides our normal workload around here, we are trying to get the outside shed organized so the stuff in the garage store room can fit in there. Then we will pack up the dining room contents and put it in the garage store room to be saved for Hubby's granddaughter Anna. Did you get all that?? So we are just overwhelmed as we want to get the dining ready BEFORE THANKS GIVING !!!!

No one has even so much as eaten a cracker or had a glass of water in this room! Even before I came here. No decorating had been done except for putting dishes in the China Hutch. The furniture is brand new. so I'll be scarce around the blog world till we make some serious progress! I'll be back with pics soon! Have a great week everyone!!

Be sure and check out the Winner of Alex Stewart @ The Book House !

Gorgeous sunrise, Carol... I have missed you --but knew that you must be very busy. Good Luck with the dining room. Hope the granddaughter wants some of that 'stuff' someday. I don't think ANY of kids or grands want anything of mine or my Mom's.... Kinda sad.. Maybe as they get older, they may. BUT--stuff doesn't mean as much to the younger generation these days...

Have a great week --and take some time for CAROL too.
Hugs,
Betsy

It looks like you've undertaken a project that is going to take you day and NIGHT ( and did you say you are newlyweds?? ). It is good to know that you are well. And you have treated us with spectacular sunrise pictures today so that is well worth a little wait to hear from you again.

Have a great, profitable week and get much accomplished. Thanksgiving is breathing hot and heavy on your heels.

Can't wait to see the progress!

and, on the movie below! I saw preview, I think, but was half paying attention -now I am intrigued!....what would I do? Sheesh, I don't know - I guess if I was going to do it, I'd have done it - like bug the hell out of Oprah or do something stupid to get on TV so I can hold up my book or have it on the shelf behind me *laughing* or kiss someone's arse (and even that wouldn't guarantee at thang but chapped lips and no self-respect!)....

what I am doing is whatever I can - writing the best next book(S) I can, doing some book events, and hoping word of mouth gets my books(s) out there - WHEEEEEE

but I do want to see that movie now

Well, I learned a few things new about you. Being a newlywed and having to deal with other people's stuff. When my in laws died within two months of each other we had the whole house to go through and decide what to do with it all. I have finally gotten rid of a lot of it by passing it on the their two daughters and other son. It took years and a lot of my inside space. Now I have my grown kids stuff to deal with, that they left behind, asking me to hang on to it for a while. Tons of stuff. So, I know where your at. I loved those sunrise photos!

Beautiful sunrise, sometimes the sky is surreal looking, all that fluff and color.
I love your shelves with the peacock bookends, and collectors plates, it's turned out perfect.

More projects on the horizon. You're my kind of girl.

BTW the sunrise looks amazing. I need to wake up earlier. Or look out the window more. One of the two.

Gorgeous sunrise, Carol. We had one this morning as well, and I took some pictures. I was awed by it.

Oh, my, you sure have a lot of irons in the fire! But you seem to thrive on it. Not me. I would be all frazzled. I am getting ready for Thanksgiving as well, as my daughter and grands and one of my sons and a couple of friends will be here for a week.

Take time to stop and smell the roses, or whatever is still blooming there, between all that work you plan to finish.

Huggies,

Renie

Good luck on your project this week, Carol!
I have a similar project: to make the guest room ready which is also the printing room, my painting closed, and my oodles of yarn need to be stored there -so my daughter, hubby and toddler can stay there overnight, before Thanksgiving!

Beautiful photos Carol. Don't envy you clearing out the dining room, but think you and hubby will be quite pleased with yourselves once it's done.

Oh the stress and with a deadline yet. Quite a project you have going on and I wish you luck. It would be grand for the room to lose its virginity with Thanksgiving. We will want pictures.

Love your bookends. Sounds like some time consuming chores. But it sure does feel good once completed. Thanksgiving in only 2 weeks. Hope you are able to accomplish a lot. Gorgeous sunrise photos.

That might be the best sunrise ever! Best of luck with your project. I hope it frees up more than the space in the room.

Good luck with your project, I always enjoy it when I get something accomplished. Those sunrise shots are pretty, but you know what they say "red sky in morning, sailor take warning."

Such beautiful sunrise pictures, Carol!
I enjoyed the tour of all your wonderful collectables!

Gorgeous sunrise !

Good luck with the cleaning and organizing , I've got to do that next week too. Our DR became the pantry for our canned goods , crockpot , canners and
other clutter over the summer (LOL).

~ Blessings ~

That was the most beautiful sun-saturated sky, Carol. Just stunning! I just came back from Dominica...it is indeed a gorgeous island. I located some great information about a couple of writers...a rewarding trip! I hope you get all of your preparations done before the impending holiday :-)

Just found your site and so glad I did. We have a lot in common. I love to read and write myself.
I see you have a collection of the Gone With the Wind Plates. I do too and I need to find a better place for them.
Take Care
