NOVEMBER 2009

November........I love November, it has me thinking about Thanksgiving Dinner with family, Pumpkin Pie, Jack Daniels Sweet Potatoes, homemade Cranberry Sauce! UMMMMM !

Frosty Mornings on the farm. We had our first frost this morning!

Cable Knit socks..........

Christmas Trees all a glow............

Look at these darling ornaments! You Artist need to do these as gifts!

Look at this! I'd LOVE to have A Titans and A Saints for my tree...........The one shown is a USM Golden Eagles.

I had a dream come true on Friday when I got my set of GWTW Plates!

We got them put up on Saturday morning...........

I'm waiting on a pair of Peacock bookends to go where the angel is to hold my copies of GWTW,
Scarlet and the movie...........

The plates are fine china and came in their original boxes with certificates and pamphlets! I waited 20 years to own this set! :)

My sister, bIL and 3 nieces came down from Memphis this weekend to visit. Daddy and Jeanette joined us for dinner. I made a huge pot of Cajun Seafood Gumbo that was awesome!

And a Blackberry Cobbler with some of the BB's we put in the freezer.............
What a delightful time we had! (this isn't mine,I forgot to get a pic)

And......to start the month off right, Vince Young started as the QB for the Titans!!

Between Vince and the awesome running back Chris Johnson, the Titans WON their 1st game this year!

Spanked the Jaguars 30 -13 ! Now yesterday they LOOKED like MY TITANS !!! :)

The day ended with a beautiful Hunter's Moon coming up over the pond...........

Which later lit up the pond so beautifully...............

HAVE A GREAT WEEK EVERYONE !!!!!!!!!!!!!

Your first frost--and we've had snow! Not ready to think about winter yet, but it was forced upon us.
I enjoy seeing your view in different seasons and times of day.

GA girl that I am, by birth, I love "Gone With the Wind" - that rascal, Rhett, was so dashing and Scarlett was such a lovable vixen. I never tire of seeing the movie!

The gumbo looks fabulous and I am sure it tasted even better than it looked. Blackberry cobbler, yummy! Must have been fun having guest..and the moon over the lake made for a perfect ending to your eveing.

Hi Carol

Yes, please give the recipe for the JD sweet potatoes! Yum! Thanksgiving is a definite favorite holiday of ours.

The GWTW plates look so pretty on display in your new cabinet!

Glad you Titans won! All the NY football teams got beat up this weekend, but YAY for the Yankees! Hopefully they cinch the World Series in Philadelphia tonight!

I love gumbo and I'm making Chef Paul's shrimp and sausage version again this week -- the recipe is on my blog under "Recipes" label :-)

Hugs, Pat

Carol - it is my favorite time of year too. The cool crisp temps feel so refreshing and the smell of apple cider and baking. I haven't heard of Jack Daniels sweet potatos. I need to hear about this one.

I have bought most of those GWTW plates for my daughter who collects all things GWTW. She quotes the movie all the time.

Hope you have great day.

I am with Sheila on sharing the JD sweet potatoes. Something new on the Thanksgivig spread. I am happy for you to get your collector plates, finally!
I watched the Titans game and they played an excellent game. We were flipping between that game and the Bret Farve game. He was so happy to beat GB.
I love being with family, and this time of year always brings us together. Glad your family is close.

The JD sweet potatoes caught my eye also. Hope a recipe is coming.
Congrats to the Titans. Being a Dolphin fan, I know how long losing spells feel and how great that first win is.

I'm afraid I stray from my weight loss diet at your house. I am getting hungry just looking at it.

It was a great weekend of football, including Monday night football.

Most all my bloggie friends' special teams won.

I followed Vince Young's career at Univ of TX. Texas QBs have difficulty making big time, because most of them, including the present one, are combos of excellent running backs with a talent for passing, instead of a pure passer who scrambles once in a while.
